What is Occupational Therapy or OT?
Occupational Therapists are health professionals helping people of all ages to better perform the everyday activities (or occupations) that they need to, want to, or are expected to perform.
For children this means playing, learning, and being part of a family and friendships.
Occupational Therapy (OT) helps children to learn and perform tasks relating to their occupations. As students, learning and playing are major occupations of children. For a sound quality of life they need to be able to perform these functions successfully. Occupational therapists help students to learn and master many of the skills required in the classroom, playground and home.
